Kindred Table

Identity

Food collective / 2025 / Full Brand

The work

A table drawn as a plan, not a plate. Places are marked. The name is the furniture, so any hall can host it.

Brief

Cooks rotate. Halls change. The public still needed one name to look for on a door and on a crate of plates.

They cook from a short menu. The identity had to survive a photocopied allergen list.

  • Audience and constraint

A rotating kitchen collective needed a shared name that could sit on borrowed halls and still look like one kitchen.

  • Subject

    Food collective

Idea

Draw the table from above. Seats are ticks, not illustrated people. The wordmark sits on the long edge like a painted name.

We kept photography out of the print system. Food pictures, when they exist, are not the brand.

Applications

Menus fold to pocket size. Aprons take the plan at chest height. Crates get a one-color stencil so borrowed kit can return.
